“I'll send that quote.” “I'll call you back.” “Let me get back to you.” Promises like these get made over a text, a call, or a quick email, away from your desk, and quietly disappear into a busy day. BlindSpot catches them automatically, and lets you add anything else in five seconds flat.
What should we call this account?
Any provider works: Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, anything. You sign in with your provider, not a password we ever see, and read-only is enforced by their permission system, not just our promise. BlindSpot watches for promises you've made. It doesn't send, edit, or delete anything, ever.
Looking back over the last 14 days for anything you're still on the hook for. This runs in the background, usually just a couple of minutes.
Neither iPhone nor Android lets any app quietly read your texts (that's a privacy wall, not a BlindSpot limitation). There's no BlindSpot number and nothing to forward. When a commitment shows up in a text thread, just snap a screenshot of it: everything stays on your phone until you choose to send that one screenshot in.
Subscribe to keep BlindSpot watching your inbox for commitments you don't want to drop.
In Safari's toolbar (usually along the bottom), tap •••. If you see a Share icon (a square with an arrow pointing up) directly in the toolbar instead, tap that and skip ahead to step 3.
A small menu pops up. Tap "Share" at the top of it.
The share sheet opens with just a few shortcuts showing — "Add to Home Screen" isn't one of them yet. Tap "View More" to see the rest of the list.
A longer list of options slides up. Scroll down it until you see "Add to Home Screen" and tap it.
Safari shows the BlindSpot name and icon it'll use, and you can leave it as-is. Tap "Add" in the top right to finish.
Done. BlindSpot's icon is now on your Home Screen, just like a regular app. Open it from there from now on (not from Safari) so notifications work.
Three steps to get real commitments flowing in.
Connect a mailbox directly: a real, one-click, private connection. BlindSpot only ever reads; it never labels, archives, or sends anything.
Looks like is a Google account. Connect it with one click, read-only, same as any other Gmail or Google Workspace inbox.
Looks like is an Outlook / Microsoft 365 account. Connect it with one click, read-only, same as any other Outlook or Microsoft 365 inbox.
Connect with a password from 's provider. iCloud, Yahoo, and AOL (and most others) require an app-specific password here rather than your real one -- a code your provider generates just for BlindSpot, from your account's security settings. Your real account password is never entered here or stored by BlindSpot.
Neither Apple nor Android lets any app quietly read your texts in the background (a deliberate privacy wall, not a BlindSpot limitation). There's no BlindSpot number and nothing to forward: snap a screenshot of the text thread and send it in with the 📷 camera icon in the header. BlindSpot reads it and builds the commitment for you, and the screenshot itself is never kept.
—. Only this device's BlindSpot install should ever need this, so treat it like a password.Dismiss 3 messages from the same address as "Not a commitment" and future ones land pre-dismissed automatically. It's BlindSpot's own filter, never touching your email, undoable anytime below.
Tap ⋯ → Flag issue on any card whose risk, owner, or action looks wrong. It doesn't change the commitment, it just logs it here so classification improves from real examples instead of guesswork. Clear it once you've looked.
Get a push the moment a new commitment lands. Tap the 🔔 bell on the dashboard, or the button below, then allow notifications.
On iPhone, notifications only work once BlindSpot is added to your Home Screen first.
Get an email when something needs attention: a mailbox's gone quiet, or a commitment's sat open too long. On by default; turning on push notifications above covers the same alerts too.
Choose how BlindSpot looks. System follows your device's setting automatically.
A few extra looks, purely for fun — pick one anytime.
Collapses "Other open items" (lower-priority commitments not waiting on you, not awaiting a reply, not high risk) behind a "Show more" tap instead of filling the screen. Nothing's hidden for good, just tucked away by default.
How much BlindSpot shows you from your connected mailboxes. "Catch more" surfaces anything that might be a commitment, even when the AI isn't fully sure — more false alarms, less missed. "Only the sure things" shows just the clear-cut ones — fewer false alarms, but you might miss a borderline one. This only affects what's automatically detected from Gmail, Outlook, or IMAP; anything you add yourself or capture by photo always shows, regardless of this setting.
Optional context that helps BlindSpot judge risk more like you would. Answer anytime; nothing here is required, and this is the same short set asked at signup if you skipped it there.
This doesn't change anything on screen right now — it's read by BlindSpot's classifier on your next sync, quietly shaping what gets flagged and how urgent it looks. Nothing here filters what's already on your dashboard.
BlindSpot only reads your inbox. Think of it as a second pair of eyes, not something managing it:
—
Download every commitment BlindSpot has tracked (open, done, and dismissed) as a CSV for your own records. Nothing leaves your device.
Permanently deletes every commitment BlindSpot has tracked for you, disconnects every mailbox, and removes your login entirely. This happens immediately and can't be undone: there's no grace period or recovery.
Type DELETE to confirm. This can't be undone.
